after reading these articles i can sympathise with all of them .i'm in a similar situation rite now . i reckon a good way to beat this is if farthers like us (and some mothers to i guess) can show mass numbers of people in our situation. up until tonite i thort i was an isolated case! after all all we are to those pricks down parliament are numbers the more numbers we have the more force to be reckoned with .maybe i'm just pushing shit up hill. i jst away all the BS for one of those admin reviews, after reading some of these stories i wonder if i'm not just waisting my time

I am really upset with the whole process of child support,I beleive we all should stand up for this. It is really unfair on the paying parent.I had been wanting day to day care of my child, but each time it is turned down, my new partner and her children cannot receive any benefits because they are associated with me as our income is combined as one. The total living allowance allowed for three of us is $26900 and 18% towards the child in question.Should'nt this child payment be calculated on the same living allowance used for me. My ex has choosen not to work and is making most of my hard earned money and yet does not allow me to see the child. I work very hard and my ex gets the cream. If she is financial uncapable of looking after the child in question, I have asked the courts many times to have day to day care, but it seems the justice system favours women.My step child does not receive any child as his father has died. I know i am obligated to this child in question with my ex, but i believe that calculation should be based on the child age and expenses. I as the bread winner of the family have more responsibiltes during this economic situation. This child support is unfair. Why do women take on the child's responsibilties when they are unable to deliver......I am so sad with the whole system...spoke to ird, but they do not listen
WHO WILL DO SOMETHING ABOUT CRIPPLING OUR MEN!!!!!! When someone has a child it should be a two way joint decision other wise the woman should not get a benefit. THAT IS FAIR.
We've been paying taxes for years & all this woman has done is given us grief, the kid hates us is not at school - has nothing - & is getting in trouble. What a waste of our lives to have to pay all that money for nothing. Thanks NZ. D M BRIGGS
I currently live in australia and have recently separated from my ex and four year old daughter. She has applied for the DPB in nz and child support nz have said i am to pay $540 per month. Now this is based on what i have earned so far this financial year as well as caring for two 15yr old boys. I have been unemployed since November 2011, also a chronic arthritis sufferer. I receive $202 per fortnight from family assistance and work on a casual basis. Child support say that i have to pay this money which is more than i earn, to me this is just wrong. I find it hard enough putting food on the table for two teenage boys. I do want to give some sort of financial assistance to my daughter like i have since she was born (payed for her child care, everything basically). Just at the moment i am not financially capable of paying this ridiculous amount of money. Please someone, give me a solution. I have talked to child support and they say "that's legislation, that's the law"

I find it deeply disturbing in this, a supposedly fair and transparent country Government is possessed of such a broken moral compass, especially when it comes to profiteering, it will breech the Legal rights of it's citizens, create an agency capable of making Laws in order to rob the ordinary Kiwi, prejudice openly against Men, work behind the backs of Tax Payers to instigate a system of one sided money making enterprise using peoples children, then tell one lie after another in order to cover their tracks.There appears to be something quite wrong with Peter Dunne on many levels - quite apart from the fact the man is clearly a pathological liar. His ideological crusade to squeeze as much money from mostly men as punishment for the crime of having children, then allowing mostly women to openly abuse their ex partners,and lie to authorities in order to obtain financial payouts at the cost to the tax payer (DPB) (this is a trick known to every family court Lawyer)as well as ensuring the poor significant other not only finds himself (usually) out of pocket and at the mercy of a Child Support Agency who couldn't care less (after all, it's not about the people, it's about the profit), he usually has served upon him a protection order (another Lawyers'trick) and so ends up having to pay outrageous amounts of money to his ex partner (Government, with the rest being served upon the custodial parent).
As a man you find yourself feeling like a criminal so your ex and the Government can both profit at your expense.Pity nobody thought of the one person who will be really, deeply hurt by all this greed and political madness...the child/ren.
How about Politicians bloody well wake up and stop using people's kids as lines of credit?
